It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved, Rosa Lee Catlin who left us peacefully on 11/26/2023 at the age of 85 years old. Rosa Lee past away in at Emory Hospital with her granddaughter Jessica Stinson by her side. Rosa Lee was born on February 12, 1938 in Decatur, GA to Perry Lee Gay and Murray Allen.
Rosa Lee was a woman of strength, grace, and unyielding love. She was a beacon of light in our family, always guiding us with her wisdom and nurturing us with her love. Her life was a testament to her unwavering faith and her deep love for her family. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Fluker Catlin, a loving mother to her children, Kenny, Ronnie, Alton, Rozette, Terry and Gary Catlin a doting grandmother to Precious, Shareca, Jessica, Donte, Taron, Rhonda, Ronny, the late Diewonn, wonderful great grandmother to 17.
Rosa Lee Catlin was a woman who valued her family. She had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds. She loved to travel, she could out shop anyone, she loved to eat good food, and keep up with the family on goings. She was respected and admired by her family and church members for her dedication and hard work to her family.
Rosa Lee was a woman of faith. She was a devout Christian, regularly attending True church of Christ. Her faith was a source of strength and comfort to her, especially in times of adversity. She was a living example of her faith, always treating others with kindness and respect.
In her leisure time, Rosa Lee enjoyed shopping for her grandchildren, going out to eat, traveling, and spending time with her family. She found joy in the simple things in life and taught us to do the same. Her laughter was infectious, her spirit was indomitable, and her love was unconditional.
Rosa Lee leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held on December 2, 2023 at Willie A. Watkins In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rozette Stinson.
We take comfort in knowing that Rosa Lee Catlin is now reunited with her beloved Fluker Catlin in heaven. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. Rest in peace, dear Rosa Lee Catlin. You will forever be in our hearts.
Interment: Forest Hill Cemetery
A public viewing will be Friday, December 1, 2023, from 3:00PM - 7:00PM at the funeral home. Final arrangements entrusted to Willie A. Watkins Historic West End Chapel, (404) 758-1731.
