Ronika “Nikki” Lashawn Carswell was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 10, 1975, and departed on Friday, December 12, 2025. She was the oldest of three girls. She was raised by her loving parents Mary Carswell and Walker Carswell. She grew up as a “military brat” and traveled and lived in Germany and different cities in Georgia. She was educated within Atlanta Public Schools and Muscogee County School System. Nikki was known to be sweet and kind, but she was also a fighter and protector of those she loved. She spent most of her professional career being an in-home caretaker to elderly patients. She loved her clients and made lifelong friends with some of their families.
Nikki loved music, singing and having a good time. She was a joy to be around and always left a lasting memory. She loved her three children and especially loved being a “G-Ma” to her grandchildren. She called her mom and dad almost every day. She would give you her last dollar, even if she complained about it.
Nikki was preceded in death by her grandbaby Melanie Tuft.
Nikki leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Mary Carswell; father, Walker Carswell (Beverly); daughter, Destiny Jordan; sons, Roki Roby and Antonio Walton, Jr; Grandchildren, Mason Jordan and Desirae Tuft; Sisters, Savada Wade (Travier) and Wakisha Newton (D’Ante); one nephew Dominic Newton; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
