.In Loving Memory of Darrelyn Delores Brown
December 8, 1949 – September 27, 2026
Darrelyn Delores Brown was born on December 8, 1949, in Quincy, Florida, to Lucille Brown and Chester Brown Jr. She was raised in Tacoma, Washington, where her life’s journey continued to shape the loving, strong, and faith-filled woman so many came to know and cherish. On September 27, 2026, Darrelyn entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of faith, perseverance, and love.
Born and raised in the church, Darrelyn loved and respected God, and her faith remained an important part of her life. She served faithfully for many years as a church nurse at Greater Mount Calvary C.O.G.I.C., later known as Daniel’s Memorial C.O.G.I.C., where she shared her compassion and care with others.
Darrelyn spent the majority of her professional career as an Administrative Assistant at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon. Outside of work, she enjoyed water aerobics, traveling, watching game shows and soap operas, and attending church. She was known for being fun, outspoken, loving, wise, loyal, generous, calm, dependable, humble, and optimistic. Above all, Darrelyn was tenacious. Despite the many health challenges she faced, she continued to fight with remarkable determination until the very end.
Darrelyn’s life was a testament to perseverance, kindness, and faith. She will be remembered for her strength, her generous spirit, her wisdom, and the love she gave to her family and everyone blessed to know her. Though her earthly journey has ended, the memories she created and the lives she touched will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
Those Who Preceded Her in Death
Darrelyn was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Lucille Brown; her father, Chester Brown Jr.; her sister, Hilda Brown; her nephew, Joseph Brown; and her niece, Sonya Brown. Though they are no longer here in the physical sense, their memories remain a cherished part of her family’s story and legacy.
Those Left to Cherish Her Memory
Darrelyn leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Camarray Robinson; her sisters, Shirley Payne, Belva Brown, and Mary Brown; her brothers, Michael Brown and Chester Brown III; her sister-in-law, Yolanda Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear loved ones.
Though our hearts grieve her passing, we find comfort in the promise of God’s eternal love and the hope of everlasting life. Her work here is done, her battles have been fought, and her legacy of faith, strength, and love will live on.
Forever loved. Forever cherished. Never forgotten.
