Mrs. Henri "Butter Cup" Robinson

It is with profound sadness that the family of Henri Yvonne (Washington) Robinson, affectionately known as “Butter Cup” announces her passing on November 10th, 2025. A loving mother, Butter Mommy, spouse and friend, she was a source of inspiration to all who knew her. 

She was born April 8, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia as the youngest daughter to the late Mr George and Mrs Daisy Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Carrie “Sweet Pea” Garland and Husband William “Billy” Robinson.

Butter Cup graduated from Booker T Washington High School and attended Fisk University.

She retired early from the State of Georgia medical benefits plan and spent most of her retirement enjoying her literary, bridge and social clubs. She actively volunteered for years as an election poll worker and organizing give aways for the needy at a nearby church weekly. 

She will be remembered for her radiant smile that filled a room, positive energy, kind spirit and unwavering love for her friends and family! 

A memorial service will be held at Providence Missionary Baptist Church. 2295 Benjamin E. Mays Drive SW. Atlanta, GA 30311 on Dec 6th at 11a with a tea party immediately following.
