Mr. Jimmie Jones of Roswell, Georgia, formerly of Valdosta, Georgia entered Heaven’s gates on January 20, 2026. He was 92 years old. He was born to Nancy and Jimmie Jones on September 9,1933 in Plains, Georgia. Jimmy was known for his witty sense of humor and love of family. His feisty spirit of strength and determination was apparent to all who knew him. Mr. Jimmie Jones is survived by his four daughters: Patricia A. Coburn of Jacksonville,Florida; Debra A. Jones of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Joyce B. Thomas (Stanley Jr.) of Deerfield Beach, Florida and Shawnteria Elmore of Hampton, Georgia. Nine grandchildren: Darrel Bates and Ashley Bates both of Tifton, Georgia, Charles R. Dickerson Jr. and Charnae R. Dickerson both of Jacksonville, Florida, DeLon (Kelsie) Fulgham of Atlanta, Georgia, Janiya Williams and Jaya Thomas of Deerfield, Florida, Zamar and Zamaje Hearns of Hampton, Georgia. Seven great-grandchildren: Mariyah, Darrel and Ivy Bates of Tifton, Georgia; Brady Edwards of Tifton, Georgia; Za’Niyah, DeMarr and Kamryn Fulgham of Atlanta, Georgia. Four Siblings: Bobby Dan Jones of Roswell, Georgia, Rev Dr. Timothy Jones of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Eddie Phillip Jones and Jeanette Jones, both of Atlanta, Georgia. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives andfriends. Of special mention his niece, Sr. Pastor Keesha Kimbrel of Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Jimmie Jones was preceded in death by his spouse Doris Hayward-Jones, parents Nancy and Jimmie Jones Sr., son Darrel Jones, grandson Chester Allen Coburn IV. Five siblings, Mildred (Frank) Douglas, Henry Sims, Paul Jones, Hazel Broome, and Harold Jones.
