Harvey Parham Obituary

Mr. Harvey Lee Parham was born on October 29, 1945, to the late Charlie Lawson Parham and Annie Louise Parham. He was the youngest of six siblings. He shared a close bond with his brothers, Charles, David, and George, and his sisters, Sarah and Ethel.

Harvey was educated in the Atlanta Public School System. He attended Frank L. Stanton Elementary School and later graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1963.
In 1965, Harvey married his high school classmate, Sandra Gresham. Their union was blessed with two children, Dewane Reneé and, five years later, Duane Renard.

At an early age, Harvey joined Antioch Baptist Church North, where he was baptized under the pastorate of Reverend D. T. George. His faith and church community remained an important part of his life.

Throughout his professional career, Harvey held positions of leadership and responsibility. He worked for Lockheed Martin, Yellow Freight Line, and Roadway, where he served in managerial roles. Harvey was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

Harvey was truly the life of the party and never met a song he didn’t like. His laughter was infectious and could light up any room. His favorite song was “I Got 5 On It,” and to this day, many people think of Harvey whenever it begins to play. His joyful spirit and sense of humor left lasting memories with everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Harvey will be remembered for the joy he brought to others, the stories he shared, and the lasting impact he made on family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Dewane Reneé Parham Willis, George Anthony Willis, and Duane Renard Parham Senior; his beloved grandchildren, Geordan Pharod Willis, “Nicole Khansary”,Geornay Willis Zaumseil, Tyler William Zaumseil, and Duane Renard Parham Jr.; his great-granddaughter, Pharah Reneé Zaumseil; and a host of extended family members, relatives, and dear friends who will continue to honor his life and legacy.
