Grace Raiford Obituary
RAIFORD-Grace Anna Lee Dunn Raiford, age ninety-three, of Riverdale, GA passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Christian City Nursing Home in Union City, GA. She was born in Newark, New Jersey and had been a lifelong resident of Fairfield Connecticut until she relocated to Georgia. Grace retired from Visiting Nurses Association as a Supervisor for the Adult Alzheimer’s Day Care Program located in Georgia. Grace was a member of Spread the Word Church Ministries, in College Park GA Presiding Bishop John S. Battle III and First Servant Regina Belle-Battle.
Survivors include her children, Keith Raiford and Sharon Raiford of Riverdale, GA, Karen Raiford of Griffin, GA, Lynne Raiford-Carr (Duchess), (Nate) of Jonesboro, GA, Kevin Raiford (Duke) of Yonkers New York, and Jerome Raiford. She also had five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, a special niece Beverly Dunn-Hernandez and a host of family and friends.
She is preceded by her late husband General Lee Raiford, her parents Willie Dunn and Virginia Hobbs, stepfather Henry T. Hobbs and her brothers, James Dunn, Jack Dunn, Charles Dunn and Harold Dunn. Grace loved life, family and friends and the family would like to thank everyone that was a part of her life. There will be no services per her wishes, and the cremation was performed at Willie A. Watkins Funeral Home in Riverdale, Georgia.
